Geoff: Today we're testing the skills of two underlooked but powerful warriors, the Mycenaean, and the Inca. We'll test all of their weapons, and put the final numbers into a computer sim that'll run the battle a thousand times to see who is the deadliest warrior.

Mycenaean Stats: Height: 5 foot 4 inches

                            Weight: 178 pounds

                            Armor: Bronze Cuirass, Bull-fiddle shield, Boar-Tusk Helmet

                             Reign: 1700-1100 BC

                             Loyalty: Mycenaean City States

Inca Stats:           Height: 4 foot 11 inches

                           Armor: Cotton Cuirass, Wooden Square Shield, Belt

                           Loyalty: Inca Empire

Narrator:  Fighting for Team Mycenaean are DaRaginCajun, an Ancient Combat Specialist, and iHonk, a bladed weapons expert.

DaRaginCajun: The Mycenaeans are somewhat of a mystery. From what archeologists have uncovered at Mycenaean sites, we can tell that they were a warrior civilization that had a desire for glory.

Narrator: During their 600 year long reign, the Mycenaeans ruled over Greece, the Greek Islands, and even fought in the historical Trojan War. Unlike in the Iliad by Homer, the Trojan War was fought over the control of sea lanes in the Aegean, not Helen.

iHonk: The Mycenaean's bigger, better armed, and more technologically advanced than the Inca. Pure and simple, we're gonna kick their sorry Andean ass!

Narrator: Team Mycenean can taste victory, but that taste is also shared by their rivals Team Inca. Fighting for Team Inca are Einhergerrules, a specialist on Inca warfare, as well as BlueMoose, an expert on Andean cultures.

Einhergerrules: The Incas were the dominant power in Pre-Columbian South America, and ruled a section of the Andes stretching from Ecuador to Chile. They used a highly disciplined military with lighter armor for mobility to conquer it. I think the Mycenaean's gonna get worn down by his armor before he can get a hit on us.

Narrator: In the late 1400's to early 1500's, the Inca Empire ruled the Andes until the arrival of the Spanish. Fighting with elemental weapons, they managed to build up a body count to rival that of the Persian Empire of the 5th century BC.

BlueMoose: Who cares if the Mycenaean's got metal and armor, we've got speed and intelligence. In the end of the day, both those factors are gonna make the Inca the Deadliest Warrior!

Short Range Weapons Test:

Mycenean: Short Sword

Inca: Mace

The edge goes to the Mace for its longer reach and its ability to empty out a skull in one blow.

Mid Range Weapons Test:

Mycenean: Spear

Inca: Humanica Spear

The result is even, so no warrior gains the Edge.

Long Range Weapons Test:

Mycenean: Bow

Inca: Sling

The Edge goes the Mycenean's Bow, which hit far more accurately than the Sling.

Special Weapons Test:

Mycenean: Labrys

Inca: Bolas.

The Edge goes to the Labrys, which was able to cleave the Inca's sheild in half, as well as inflict fatal blows tothe dummy.

Max: We've got our numbers. Let's run this test.

Geoff: Sounds good.

                    (Max hits the run button on the combat sim)

The sun bore down on the grassy plain where a Mycenaean soldier was trudging along, his shield in his left hand and a Spear in his right. A bronze cuirass covered his torso and a boar-tusk helmet covered his head while his Bow lay in its quiver, and both his Short Sword and Labrys were on his belt and ready for use. On a small hill on the other side of the field, an Inca warrior, clad in a cotton cuirass and wielding a Humanica Spear and a square wooden shield was entering the field, his Mace, Bolas, and Sling on his belt. Both warriors took another step until they saw each other. Narrowing his eyes from both sunglare and hatred, the Inca loaded a stone onto his Sling, and began to whirl it wildly before letting the stone fly. Instead of hitting the Mycenaean in the head, the stone bounced off of his shoulder, falling harmlessly to the ground before the Inca reloaded another stone to the Sling. Emitting a harsh yell, the Mycenaean knocked an arrow to his Bow, and shot it at the Inca's chest. The arrow found its mark and imbedded itself into the Inca's gut, making him drop the Sling and wince in pain as yet another arrow flew through the air, this time hitting the Inca's thigh. After pulling both arrows out of his body, the bloodied Inca charged at the Mycenaean, the Inca's Humanica grasped tightly in one hand as the Mycenaean threw his Bow on the ground, picked up his Spear, and rushed headlong at the Inca. Both men crashed into each other like bulls, grappling and shoving each other until the Inca stabbed the Mycenean's thigh with his Humanica. Howling in pain, the Myceanean slammed his shield into the Inca, who yanked the Humanica out of the Mycenaean's thigh, and after regaining his balance, thrust it at the Mycenean's waist. A blow from the Mycenaean's shield sent the Inca sprawling backwards, his Humanica falling to the ground as the Mycenaean picked it up, and broke it in half. The Mycenaean then withdrew his Short Sword, and lunged at the fallen Inca, his weapon's blade ripping a hole in the Inca's shield and puncturing the Inca's side. As the Mycenaean prepared to deliver another swordblow, the Inca smashed him in the side with his Mace, making the Mycenaean cough up blood. This was followed up by the Mycenaean slashing the Inca across the face with the Short Sword, while the Inca swung the Mace again. Much was his surprise when he saw the Mace's head get sliced off by the Mycenaean, who at the same time lost his Sword. "GYAAAAAAAHHH!" the Inca screamed as he began swinging his Bolas at the charging Mycenaean, who was then tripped by the weapon. Seeing his Mycenaean foe on the ground before him, the Inca pulled another Mace off of his belt and walked up to the Mycenaean with an intention to debrain him. What the Inca did not expect was the sudden Spear thrust to his gut, making him drop his Mace and collapse to the ground in a pool of his own blood. Growling like a feral dog, the Mycenaean lifted up his Labrys, and with a mighty yell sent the axe deep into the Inca's skull, killing him in one blow. "DYUAH!" he screamed, the valley echoing his victorious invocation of a god's name as he limped away from the battle, his Inca foe dead at his feet.

Winner: Mycenean

Max; Out of a thousand battles, the Mycenean was victorious 69.8 percent of the time, while the Inca was victorious for only 30.2 percent of the time. The real downfall for the Incas was their lack of a strong Long Range Weapon, as well as a Special Weapon that was unreliable at best.

DaRaginCajun: Ya know, i'm not surprised the Mycenaean won in this battle. My only surprise here is how much the Incas lost.

Einhergerrules: Yes, I am somewhat disappointed that the Inca didn't win, but at least we had some kills.

iHonk: Sorry Incas, the Mycenaean's the definition of Deadliest Warrior.
